  • School Yearbook.  2012-Present.
  • Gold Chorus | Red Chorus.  Member of chorus  since 5th grade, widely considered the “chorus artist”.
  • Eco-Council. Member since 6th grade. One of only two student reps in group formed to share ideas for improving environmental impact of school. 2011-Present.
  • Green TeamMember of group striving to make our school a more environmentally friendly community. 2011-Present.
  • Culture Club - 5th and 6th grade.
  • Flute. Passionate beginner, taking after school flute lessons. Gave first solo performance, Spring of 2013.

 

Siena: A Few Highlights

 

  • Winner, School Spelling Bee. 2014 champion, following five consecutive years as a finalist.
  • MENSA Member, 2009 to present. Scored 156 on Weschler IQ test at age 9.
  • Stanford Educational Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY).  Member, 2009 to present.  Excelled in two-week residential EPGY creative writing program, Summer of 2013.
  • Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth (CTY) Member, 2008 to present.  Participant in CTY summer offerings, including sea-diving exploration off the coast of Monterey, CA.
  • SSAT - Scored 2280 overall, placing in the 98th percentile.  Obtained highest scores in her 7th grade  class on each of the two verbal sections of the practice SSAT. Winter, 2013.
  • Creative Director Cofounder  of youth environmental magazine, Solstice Mag,  2011-2012. Created virtually all art in each issue.   
  • Winner, National Jack & Jill Promotional Video Contest.  Selected in nationwide search for teen to represent highly-respected African-American parents’ organization in a video appeal to Sasha and Malia Obama, persuading them to serve as honorary co-chairs of Jack & Jill’s Pink, White & Blue Inaugural Ball. Child member of Jack & Jill since fall of 2004. (Video)

  • Artist, Group Exhibition, Art Walk San Rafael.  Exhibited two pieces in a show of work by professional adult artists. April 12, 2013.
  • Solo Exhibition, Summer 2013.  Commissioned directly by San Francisco clothing store, Mysterious Rack, to create entirety of the store’s artwork.
  • School “Artist-in-Residence”   Artwork featured in a variety of school open house events and performances, including:  Set Design, ”The Phantom Tollbooth”, Fall 2012;   Set Design, “Charlie & the Chocolate Factory”,  Spring 2013;  Running video of storytelling sketches as backdrop for Annual Winter Chorus Assembly. Winter 2012.
  • Front Cover Artist. Created artwork featured on the cover of school literary publication and on our school's website.

Hobbies

 
  • Skiing - Since 3rd birthday.
  • Climbing - Both indoor rock wall climbing and outdoor rock scrambling.
  • Biking - Love long rides
  • Hiking - Especially steep trails; Climbed Mount Katahdin last summer.
  • Visual Arts - Digital tablet sketching, painting, sculpting, photography.
  • Writing - Creative storytelling, prose, poetry, songwriting, playwriting
  • Cooking - Particularly vegetarian dishes and baked goods.
  • Craft-making - Just finished creating formal invitations to a friend’s bat mitzvah.
